Zunyi (遵义; Zūnyì) is a city in northern Guizhou province, China. It is famous as a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) history site as it was here that Mao Zedong became a full member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party. There are also important tourist attractions outside of the Zunyi city center, such as the Maotai town, famous for its Moutai liquor. The northwest is the revolutionary holy land where the Red Army of the CCP crosses Chishui River for four times, and the northeast has the famous Shuanghedong Cave Network.
